Owen SterlingBeing with a man in a dream is the brain working through the presence of an external force that provides direction or support. This image is a way for the mind to rehearse what it means to rely on a principle or a person that stands outside the self.
The dream often points to how a person manages the influence of others or the ways in which external guidance is integrated into their own life. This process of sorting can sometimes reveal an underlying feeling of being vulnerable to the actions of another. Stability exists in the fact that one does not have to navigate every circumstance through solo effort.
Dancing with a man in a dream shows the dreamer moving in step with the currents of life. This movement suggests that the external influence is being met with a natural and easy cooperation.
A dream of being protected by a man or being carried by a man describes the sensation of leaning entirely upon a power that exists outside the self. These states show the mind testing the sensation of letting go and allowing an outside power to manage the weight of existence.
The experience of hugging a man in a dream works to settle the heart by accepting a warmth that softens the edges of a struggle. Such a connection offers a feeling of being made whole again.
Holding hands with a man in a dream adds the layer of a formal or conscious bond. This action signifies the active tying of two separate entities into a single, coordinated direction.

Owen SterlingInterpreter interprets your dreams
Many people believe a frightening dream announces something, when more often the brain was simply sorting the days just before it. During the night the mind files what was carried over from recent hours, and what gets filed loudest is what was felt most. A rough night leaves a residue by morning that fades with daylight. Nothing was sent. The sleeper was working, and the work is done.
