Owen SterlingThe sky is where the mind meets its own destiny and its reach of authority. This dream functions to orient the dreamer toward the broader forces that govern a life, acting as a canvas for the projection of what is hoped for or what is feared.
The sorting of these vast impressions provides a way to measure the weight of current circumstances against the horizon of possibility. When the mind engages with this expanse, it is testing the stability of its own foundations and its capacity to meet what is coming. Instability arrives when the boundaries of this space feel compromised. The dream offers a way to witness these shifts without being overwhelmed by them.
When clouds appear, whether they are thick or merely passing, the dream introduces the presence of things that cast a shadow over the mind. The movement of these shapes indicates how much the dreamer feels the influence of external trials or the temporary nature of current obstacles.
The presence of a beautiful, sky blue, or colorful sky suggests that the dreamer is finding ease and an expanded sense of optimism. These hues act to soften the weight of the main dream, turning the focus toward the more pleasant aspects of what is being processed.
A black sky or a red sky signals that the mind is currently preoccupied with tension or a warning, which marks a time of heightened emotional pressure.
The act of looking at the sky shifts the dream from a passive state to an active observation of destiny. This movement shows the dreamer trying to locate themselves within the larger patterns of life.
The sensation of the sky falling is the feeling of the ground becoming unreliable. This is a dream of extreme instability, where the very structures that usually provide direction seem to collapse.
Seeing an aurora brings a strange, shifting light to the dream. This light adds a quality of unpredictability to the sense of destiny, suggesting that the forces at work are luminous but difficult to grasp.
The act of writing in the sky is a way for the mind to attempt to make a thought permanent. This movement shows the dreamer trying to fix a purpose into the world so that it remains.
A dream of falling from the sky describes a sudden drop in status. The mind uses this image to process the fear of losing the authority or the hope that was previously held.
The experience of flying in the sky allows the dreamer to rise above the pull of the earth. This movement provides freedom, helping the mind to view challenges from a more detached and elevated perspective.
A sunrise marks the end of a difficult period and the arrival of a sudden, sharp understanding. This change in the dream signals that the troubles being processed are transitioning into a new beginning.
A clear sky indicates that the dreamer is experiencing honor and an unclouded direction. This clarity in the dream shows that immediate anxieties no longer obstruct the mental view.
I was on a bridge with my husband looking over a large body of water, the sky glowed a beautiful purple, I looked down at the water, it was cloudy, but immediately cleared and I saw the most beautiful group of big fish just sitting there calmly as though they were content. I immediately told my husband to look at all those fish, and he said what fish, that water is cloudy< I can't see anything, but I continued to look and felt the greatest happiness at seeing those fish.

I told her I didn’t and proved it which she saw and her friends. I was expecting an apology but instead she said “goodbye, it’s over” out loud. I had a troubling dream that brought me to the point of a mental breakdown when I awoke. I questioned my very reality as I had “jumped” from one dream where I was running from something apocalyptic, the sky turned seafoam green, and I began to see numbers counting down which were interpreted as a bad thing by my in-dream friends; into another where I panicked and attempted to explain my dream, only to be given a cryptic response by my “friends” about “feathers of time” before waking up forreal.
Seeker of the night,

For me, I was on a train looking out onto the horizon and the scenery of Asia (The country was either Thailand or Japan but the scenery was reminiscent of Vietnam. Pretty sure it was Japan since I was there before.) was beautiful, there was the landscape with a beautiful Purple sky (I took a photo). Eventually, we stopped, and we arrived at our hotel destination where I texted my girlfriend and sent her the photo wishing she was there with me. It was very comforting.
