Owen SterlingA flute appears in a dream as a vessel for the processing of social or emotional resonance. The brain uses this sound to organize the way harmony or incoming information is being integrated into the dreamer’s current state of being.
This sound helps the dreamer sort through the arrival of news that settles the recent past. A quietness remains within the process of this mental sorting.
The act of playing a flute in a dream shifts the meaning from the mere reception of harmony to the active expression of it. This movement indicates that the dreamer is no longer just waiting for equilibrium but is participating in the creation of a balanced state.

Owen SterlingInterpreter interprets your dreams
Many people believe a frightening dream announces something, when more often the brain was simply sorting the days just before it. During the night the mind files what was carried over from recent hours, and what gets filed loudest is what was felt most. A rough night leaves a residue by morning that fades with daylight. Nothing was sent. The sleeper was working, and the work is done.
