Owen SterlingA flying carpet in a dream shows the brain lifting domestic pride and ease into a state of weightless travel. The mind uses this image to manage how a feeling of prosperity remains intact even when the feet no longer touch the earth.
This dream often appears when the psyche works through the tension between a settled life and a requirement to move. The internal mechanism is testing whether the honors and comforts acquired in one phase of life can become a reliable way to travel during a shift in perspective. There is a risk that the very things providing comfort might become untethered from reality. The dreamer finds that stability is not lost, but merely transformed into a different kind of grace.

Owen SterlingInterpreter interprets your dreams
Many people believe a frightening dream announces something, when more often the brain was simply sorting the days just before it. During the night the mind files what was carried over from recent hours, and what gets filed loudest is what was felt most. A rough night leaves a residue by morning that fades with daylight. Nothing was sent. The sleeper was working, and the work is done.
