Owen SterlingA flying umbrella appears as a mechanism for finding shelter while in motion. The brain works to keep the dreamer protected while they drift through shifting or uncertain surroundings.
The movement shows the dreamer moving between stages of life where they try to hold onto safety without a firm place to stand. This process of carrying a refuge into the air indicates an effort to safeguard the self against sudden changes. While the feeling of being ungrounded can be unsettling, the dream shows that the capacity for defense remains intact during the shift.
Flying with an umbrella means the dreamer is actively steering through the air while holding onto their refuge. This indicates that the search for safety is an intentional part of the current life movement.

Owen SterlingInterpreter interprets your dreams
Many people believe a frightening dream announces something, when more often the brain was simply sorting the days just before it. During the night the mind files what was carried over from recent hours, and what gets filed loudest is what was felt most. A rough night leaves a residue by morning that fades with daylight. Nothing was sent. The sleeper was working, and the work is done.
