Owen SterlingA highway appears in a dream as a representation of the long ventures that define a life. The brain uses this symbol to map out the sense of direction and the scale of the path currently being traversed.
This dream serves to process the momentum of a person’s journey through various stages of existence. The vastness of the path can make the venture feel heavy. The dream reveals the underlying rhythm of the progress being made.
Driving the wrong way on a highway in a dream indicates a period where the dreamer is acting against the usual way of doing things. This occurs because the mind is testing the friction between personal choices and the established tracks of the social environment. A struggle against the weight of external expectations is a risk when the direction is set against the flow.
The dreamer may experience a different tempo when walking on a highway or crossing a highway in a dream. Such movement implies a measured pace through the journey. The movement is less about the destination and more about the way the person navigates the space between points.
Running on a highway in a dream adds an element of haste to the venture. The mind is working through a sudden drive to arrive at a specific point.

Owen SterlingInterpreter interprets your dreams
Many people believe a frightening dream announces something, when more often the brain was simply sorting the days just before it. During the night the mind files what was carried over from recent hours, and what gets filed loudest is what was felt most. A rough night leaves a residue by morning that fades with daylight. Nothing was sent. The sleeper was working, and the work is done.
