Owen SterlingA rug in a dream is the floor of the private life, the ground upon which the comforts of a home are laid. The brain uses this symbol to process the current state of the environment that supports daily existence, acting as a way to assess how well the basic comforts of a home are being maintained.
The consolidation of these themes allows a dreamer to gauge the strength of their personal sanctuary. When the mind works through this imagery, it is often examining the underlying conditions that allow for rest and the feeling of being grounded. The dream provides a way to observe the quality of one’s inner refuge.
Owen SterlingInterpreter interprets your dreams
Many people believe a frightening dream announces something, when more often the brain was simply sorting the days just before it. During the night the mind files what was carried over from recent hours, and what gets filed loudest is what was felt most. A rough night leaves a residue by morning that fades with daylight. Nothing was sent. The sleeper was working, and the work is done.
