Owen SterlingA video game is a night where the brain tests its capacity to manage complex systems through a controlled medium. This dream provides a way to rehearse how one exerts influence in a space where nothing is actually at risk.
The process of simulation provides a space to measure how one handles success or failure without the presence of actual risk. This allows for a psychological testing of skills and reactions. The dreamer finds a way to experience the mechanics of influence and consequence in a safe, contained setting.
The dream of playing a video game centers on the way the mind practices directing events in a space where no actual harm can be done. This movement allows for a rehearsal of power and decision-making that remains entirely detached from reality.
The presence of a survival game changes the nature of the simulation from a test of skill to a trial of endurance. The brain uses this harder contest to process how it might handle prolonged pressure or the necessity of persisting through difficult conditions.
The dreamer being in a video game moves the experience from an external observation to a total immersion in a constructed reality. This state indicates a deeper level of engagement with the rules and boundaries of the current environment.

Owen SterlingInterpreter interprets your dreams
Many people believe a frightening dream announces something, when more often the brain was simply sorting the days just before it. During the night the mind files what was carried over from recent hours, and what gets filed loudest is what was felt most. A rough night leaves a residue by morning that fades with daylight. Nothing was sent. The sleeper was working, and the work is done.
