Owen SterlingBeing dirty in a dream marks the way a sleeping brain works through the grit and the heavy friction of being involved in the world. This imagery serves to sort through the ways in which the dreamer feels the weight of external obligations or the friction of living within a complex social environment.
The dream points toward a perceived lack of clarity or a feeling that the internal self has been obscured by the grit of active participation in the world. The dreamer may find that the necessity of meeting worldly demands has left a feeling of being soiled. This state can signal a moment where the boundary between personal integrity and the requirements of one’s circumstances feels blurred. The process of sorting these impressions allows for the recognition of where the self ends and the world begins.
Owen SterlingInterpreter interprets your dreams
Many people believe a frightening dream announces something, when more often the brain was simply sorting the days just before it. During the night the mind files what was carried over from recent hours, and what gets filed loudest is what was felt most. A rough night leaves a residue by morning that fades with daylight. Nothing was sent. The sleeper was working, and the work is done.
