Owen SterlingBroken scissors appear in a dream as a sign of a process that has failed to achieve a clean separation. When the brain presents an image of a tool that can no longer perform its function, it is often working through a period where a necessary division in life has become jagged or incomplete. The mind is attempting to process a transition that lacks the precision required to move from one state to another.
This failure to divide often leaves the dreamer in a state of mental or emotional entanglement. Where a sharp edge would allow for a decisive end, the presence of damaged instruments suggests that an issue remains unresolved or that a break has been forced rather than managed. The dream points to a situation where the ability to distinguish or detach is currently compromised. The edges of a life do not meet at a clean point, leaving the person caught in the fray of things that should have been severed.
The presence of these damaged tools indicates that the current method of handling a transition is not working. There is a capacity for clarity that is temporarily obscured by the friction of an imperfect tool. This recognition allows for the possibility of seeking a different way to approach the necessary parting.

Owen SterlingInterpreter interprets your dreams
Many people believe a frightening dream announces something, when more often the brain was simply sorting the days just before it. During the night the mind files what was carried over from recent hours, and what gets filed loudest is what was felt most. A rough night leaves a residue by morning that fades with daylight. Nothing was sent. The sleeper was working, and the work is done.
