Owen SterlingCatching a criminal in a dream is the mind’s work of locating a specific violation of order that has been felt in recent life. This pursuit functions to pin down a source of instability, making a problem that was once drifting and unmanageable into something that can be dealt with.
The mechanism of this dream is the containment of an impulse or a conflict that has been acting against the interests of the dreamer. By successfully apprehending the figure, the mind demonstrates a capacity to confront and bind the disruptions that threaten stability. This act of securing the figure turns a vague threat into a contained event. The dream leaves room for the restoration of boundaries.

Owen SterlingInterpreter interprets your dreams
Many people believe a frightening dream announces something, when more often the brain was simply sorting the days just before it. During the night the mind files what was carried over from recent hours, and what gets filed loudest is what was felt most. A rough night leaves a residue by morning that fades with daylight. Nothing was sent. The sleeper was working, and the work is done.
