Owen SterlingDecorating a room in a dream is how the mind sorts through the current state of personal affairs. This work involves picking out new arrangements or adjusting what is already there to match a new way of being.
The brain uses these changes to settle the way a person occupies their own life. While this work can sometimes reveal a struggle to find stability amidst shifting circumstances, it primarily indicates an active engagement with one’s own direction. The ability to modify the surroundings shows that the foundations of a situation remain flexible.
Painting a room in a dream provides a fresh layer to the primary meaning by suggesting a desire for a complete surface renewal. This specific action indicates that the dreamer is looking to cover up old impressions or to present a different aspect of their affairs to the world.
The dreamer seeks a total transformation of their surroundings through changing a room, rearranging a room, or moving rooms in a dream. These actions indicate that the reorganization of one’s life has reached a stage where the existing layout no longer suffices.

Owen SterlingInterpreter interprets your dreams
Many people believe a frightening dream announces something, when more often the brain was simply sorting the days just before it. During the night the mind files what was carried over from recent hours, and what gets filed loudest is what was felt most. A rough night leaves a residue by morning that fades with daylight. Nothing was sent. The sleeper was working, and the work is done.
