Owen SterlingFailing school in a dream occurs when the mind works through the friction between what is known and what is expected. This dream serves to rehearse the tension that arises when the internal sense of competence meets external standards of order and discipline.
The brain uses this imagery to test how the dreamer handles the sensation of falling short of an established measure. A feeling of inadequacy may surface as the mind integrates recent experiences of social or professional pressure. This process identifies where the dreamer feels the weight of expectations. The dreamer encounters the reality of failing to meet a standard. The dream provides a way to face these pressures within the safety of sleep.
Not finishing school, flunking out of school, or falling behind in school all point to a disruption in the continuity of guidance. These variations of the dream show the effort to follow a prescribed path or to match a necessary pace.
The dream of being unprepared for school reveals a vulnerability to a demand that feels imminent. This state moves the focus from a past deficit to a current readiness, as the dream explores how the dreamer meets what is required.

Owen SterlingInterpreter interprets your dreams
Many people believe a frightening dream announces something, when more often the brain was simply sorting the days just before it. During the night the mind files what was carried over from recent hours, and what gets filed loudest is what was felt most. A rough night leaves a residue by morning that fades with daylight. Nothing was sent. The sleeper was working, and the work is done.
