Owen SterlingFinding a basement in a dream indicates that the sleeping brain is directing attention toward the underlying structures of a situation or the long-standing foundations of a person’s character. This process of retrieval serves to bring to the surface those aspects of life that are typically kept out of view, allowing for an integration of what is often ignored or pushed into the periphery of awareness.
The sorting of these internal layers can sometimes reveal elements that have been left to deteriorate or are difficult to confront. Such a dream points to a period where the hidden parts of a life are being assessed for their current stability. Finding these depths provides the necessary ground for understanding how recent experiences are resting upon older, more permanent truths.

Owen SterlingInterpreter interprets your dreams
Many people believe a frightening dream announces something, when more often the brain was simply sorting the days just before it. During the night the mind files what was carried over from recent hours, and what gets filed loudest is what was felt most. A rough night leaves a residue by morning that fades with daylight. Nothing was sent. The sleeper was working, and the work is done.
