Owen SterlingGnats in a dream are the residue of many tiny, nagging frictions that have gathered in the mind over recent days. This sorting process identifies the small, persistent distractions that drain mental energy without offering a single, large problem to resolve.
The dream functions to categorize these many tiny frictions so they do not merge into a single, overwhelming sense of dread. While the presence of these interruptions is tiresome, the recognition of their individual, insignificant nature provides a way to diminish their impact.
A swarm of gnats in a dream intensifies the feeling of being besieged by a high volume of trivial concerns. These many interruptions crowd the mind and make it difficult to find a moment of stillness.

Owen SterlingInterpreter interprets your dreams
Many people believe a frightening dream announces something, when more often the brain was simply sorting the days just before it. During the night the mind files what was carried over from recent hours, and what gets filed loudest is what was felt most. A rough night leaves a residue by morning that fades with daylight. Nothing was sent. The sleeper was working, and the work is done.
