Having a tiger in a dream is the mind meeting a sudden, sharp ferocity. This image appears as the brain works to sort through a force that feels too large to hold or predict.
The presence of such an animal suggests that an aspect of life is being felt as something powerful and potentially volatile. While this force can feel overwhelming, the dream functions to help the dreamer recognize the magnitude of the energy currently at play. This recognition provides a way to stand beside the intensity without being consumed by it.
Petting, owning, or having a pet tiger in a dream indicates that the ferocity is being handled with ease. These details suggest that the dreamer is finding a way to live alongside a wild impulse by bringing it into a structured space.
A dream of feeding or playing with a tiger changes the focus toward active engagement with this intensity. By providing for or interacting with the animal, the dreamer is learning how to direct and sustain a powerful impulse rather than simply reacting to it.
The act of cuddling a tiger turns the ferocity into something gentle. This detail suggests that a part of life once seen as a threat is now being met with warmth.
For its more general meaning: Dream about a tiger
I was at my mum‘s house and she had inherited a pet tiger and big light brown snake from the previous owner. Everyone was petting and feeding the tiger on a chain and feeling safe. I thought they were crazy and I could see that the tiger was so close to being able to bite someone and turning back wild and the snake was slithering around the floor, but it was more the tiger that I was wary of. Then the man next door was looking after it whilst doing DIY, and I saw the tiger climbing a ladder.

Suddenly i was in a massive hall. I was in a couch kind of thing which was high up in the wall and there was a ladder to reach the couch from the floor.
I could hear some people nearby and as i looked down there were two tigers/leopard.
One jumped towards me via the ladder and i screamed for help but noone heard.
The tiger then snuggled at my neck like a cat/dog for some time and left. So did the other one.
After that I stormed out from the hall and closed the door.
