People dancing in a dream shows the mind sorting through the rhythms of living together and how a person moves among others. This imagery is a way for the brain to practice the feeling of moving in step with the world.
The dream points toward a way of flowing with the movement of life. When the mind focuses on this movement, it is often settling how one fits into the wider human circle. There is a capacity for finding a natural cadence amidst the presence of others.
Singing in a dream adds an element of vocalized expression to the movement, suggesting that an internal state is being brought into the open through the medium of sound.
Dancing with people brings the feeling of fellowship into the dream, using the shared movement to rehearse how it feels to belong to a group.
Watching people dance or dancing in front of people places an observer in the dream, which creates a gap between the individual and the collective. This distance shows the mind is currently weighing how one stands apart from or alongside the community.

I was looking through a glass boundary, it wasn’t a window or door just a long broad pane of glass, I could not see my reflection in it, and through the glass looked hazy or misty so I could not see what was on the other side. Then a woman’s face appeared, only her head. She was singing beautifully but a sad melancholy song. She had short dark hair a very round face with motherly features – it was not a White woman, nor a Black woman but like a Brown/tanned skinned woman, I wasn’t afraid.
