Owen SterlingRunning away from water occurs when the mind attempts to distance itself from the fundamental currents of existence or the basic requirements of survival. The brain uses this movement to practice keeping distance from the essential forces that keep a life moving.
The movement away from the source suggests a struggle to maintain autonomy against overwhelming pressures that could otherwise submerge one’s sense of self. This avoidance often signals a tension between the need to engage with life’s necessities and a desire to remain untouched by their demands. A person may find that the harder they flee, the more the weight of these vital obligations follows. There is a way to navigate these currents without being lost to them.
Panic in a dream of running from water signals that the brain is testing a sudden loss of stability. Such fear marks a moment where the forces of life feel like they might sweep away the ground of one’s world.

Owen SterlingInterpreter interprets your dreams
Many people believe a frightening dream announces something, when more often the brain was simply sorting the days just before it. During the night the mind files what was carried over from recent hours, and what gets filed loudest is what was felt most. A rough night leaves a residue by morning that fades with daylight. Nothing was sent. The sleeper was working, and the work is done.
