Owen SterlingSmoking weed in a dream is a way for the mind to blunt the sharpness of what is happening. This process serves to lessen the impact of ongoing pressures by creating a buffer between the mind and the demands of the day.
The brain uses this imagery to seek a temporary reprieve from the weight of reality. This provides a brief softening of tension, though it also moves the mind away from the work required by life. An ungrounded feeling arises when the mind chooses to drift instead of holding its ground. The dream provides a way to find stillness in the midst of movement.
The act of eating weed shifts the focus toward a more internal and thorough absorption of this stillness. This means the need to soften the edges of life has become an ingrained part of how the mind seeks to handle the day.
The dreamer finds that smoking pot or being high on weed pulls the mind fully into a state where the usual tasks of life no longer reach. Such a state keeps the person from engaging with the necessary labor of living.
When the dreamer finds themselves smoking weed with friends, the solitary search for relief becomes a shared moment of fellowship. This connects the need for a break to the comfort found in the company of others.

Owen SterlingInterpreter interprets your dreams
Many people believe a frightening dream announces something, when more often the brain was simply sorting the days just before it. During the night the mind files what was carried over from recent hours, and what gets filed loudest is what was felt most. A rough night leaves a residue by morning that fades with daylight. Nothing was sent. The sleeper was working, and the work is done.
