Owen SterlingTaking care of plants in a dream is how the brain sorts through the various tasks and intentions a person has set in motion. This process of mental consolidation focuses on the maintenance of ongoing efforts, treating them as living things that require consistent attention to reach their full potential.
The dream shows a time when the person is working through the development of their own deeds and results. This period of mental rehearsal involves assessing what has been started and what requires further nourishment to remain viable. Responsibility for these internal developments can weigh on the mind, as the dreamer recognizes that neglect leads to a loss of momentum. The dream indicates that what keeps these efforts alive is the presence of attentive, ongoing work.
The way a person interacts with the soil changes the focus from general maintenance to the specific regulation of these efforts. Watering plants in a dream signifies the application of necessary resources, while overwatering plants in a dream indicates that an excess of attention or an over-investment of energy is actually hindering the development of the work.
Growing plants in a dream signifies that the work being tended is moving forward through a phase of active development.
