Owen SterlingThe number 1 in a dream marks a single point of focus or a specific moment of reckoning. This process of consolidation often occurs when the mind is trying to isolate one particular factor from a complex series of recent events.
The sorting mechanism uses this symbol to point toward a beginning or a primary direction. Such a dream marks the emergence of a single priority that stands apart from others. A feeling of isolation can accompany this process. The dreamer finds a clear starting point for the mental work that remains.
The number one in a dream signals that a phase is finished. The brain employs this symbol to mark that a sequence has closed.

Owen SterlingInterpreter interprets your dreams
Many people believe a frightening dream announces something, when more often the brain was simply sorting the days just before it. During the night the mind files what was carried over from recent hours, and what gets filed loudest is what was felt most. A rough night leaves a residue by morning that fades with daylight. Nothing was sent. The sleeper was working, and the work is done.
