Owen SterlingWearing a jacket in a dream is a process of the mind preparing to manage how a person is perceived by the world. This mental sorting uses the image to rehearse the ways in which an individual protects their private self from the scrutiny of others.
This image allows for an examination of the boundary between a private life and the public gaze. This boundary provides a measure of stability or creates a distance that prevents closeness. A feeling of being unprepared for the gaze of others is often the weight that this dream carries. The ability to present a composed exterior remains a resource available to the dreamer.
The presence of a new jacket in the dream shifts the focus to the emergence of a fresh way of being seen. This indicates that the mind is currently integrating a different or more recent version of a person’s social standing.

Owen SterlingInterpreter interprets your dreams
Many people believe a frightening dream announces something, when more often the brain was simply sorting the days just before it. During the night the mind files what was carried over from recent hours, and what gets filed loudest is what was felt most. A rough night leaves a residue by morning that fades with daylight. Nothing was sent. The sleeper was working, and the work is done.
