Owen SterlingA video in a dream is the brain’s way of handling testimony and memory. This symbol allows the mind to pull what has been witnessed or stored out of the shadows, making internal experiences something that can be reviewed and assessed.
The processing of these images allows the dreamer to confront the way certain events are being held within the psyche. A dream involving this medium often points to a need to reconcile what has been seen with how it is being understood. Doubt can settle over what is being retrieved, making the stability of one’s own history feel less certain. The capacity to look back provides a way to organize the fragments of recent experience.
The act of recording a video in a dream shifts the focus from retrieval to the active creation of a record. This suggests the dreamer is currently engaged in the process of fixing a specific experience into a permanent form of mental testimony.
When the dream involves watching a video, the meaning moves from the creation of memory to the confrontation of it. This detail indicates that the mind is actively reviewing a piece of evidence or a past occurrence to gain clarity on its significance.
Owen SterlingInterpreter interprets your dreams
Many people believe a frightening dream announces something, when more often the brain was simply sorting the days just before it. During the night the mind files what was carried over from recent hours, and what gets filed loudest is what was felt most. A rough night leaves a residue by morning that fades with daylight. Nothing was sent. The sleeper was working, and the work is done.
